Cortaflex - How it Works

Cortaflex - why is it different?

There are many supplements containing Chondroitin and Glucosamine - so why is Cortaflex different?

Cortaflex uses a unique formula of the refined isolates of Chondroitin Sulphate and Glucosamine Sulphate - Glycine, Proline, Glutamic Acid, Glucuronic Acid and L-Glutamine (amino-acid isolates and aminosaccharides) - in a special blend to achieve an exceptional level of assimilation and effectiveness, supported by Methylsulphonylmethane (MSM) to assist the passage through the cell walls.

In other words, in Cortaflex, the large molecules of Chondroitin and Glucosamine are already broken down into the smaller molecule sized constituent parts allowing more efficient absorption of the key nutritional ingredients into where they are needed - the cells in the cartilage of the joints - to promote healthy joint function.

More information about: Glucosamine.

The result of this is that Cortaflex contains very little actual glucosamine and chondroitin but instead provides the cells in the joints with the building blocks that they need to help create better quality cartilage and synovial fluid. This is proven to be a much more efficient system and is the reason why Cortaflex always outperforms other joint supplements.

Other manufacturers are putting higher and higher concentrations of glucosamine and chondroitin into their supplements - presumably, with the idea that more is better (or at least impresses potential customers!) - this is such a waste as most of it passes straight through the body without ever getting to where it's needed. See our article on Cortaflex Ingredients.

Being an entirely natural product there has never, ever been any reported cases of side effects or adverse reactions to Cortaflex in either horses, dogs, cats or humans.

About Cortaflex

Cortaflex was developed in the USA by a nutritionist (and horseman) called Bruce Snipes. He originally created Equine Cortaflex for racehorses and, because of its speed of action and effectiveness, this quickly became a top seller and won an award by a respected American field trial magazine. Bruce and his company, Equine America, then went on to develop a special formulation of Cortaflex for dogs and cats... and then more recently for humans. Cortaflex is now the top selling joint supplement in the world. For more information see our article about the History of Cortaflex.

Equine Cortaflex

Get it from The original Equine formula has been improved upon with the addition of Hyaluronic Acid and comes in powdered form and is simply sprinkled onto the horses normal feed and mixed in. There is no strong smell or taste and we have never, ever heard of any horse that didn't eat it. A recent addition to the equine range is Equine Cortaflex HA Powder - this has much higher levels of Hyaluronic Acid and can be used in the first month, to give the horse a powerful start before going onto the "normal" powder. However, in cases of severe wear and tear in the joints, the HA Powder can also be fed long term with no side effects or complications. Buy Equine Cortaflex from Cortaflex Online.

Canine/Feline Cortaflex

As the name suggests, Canine/Feline Cortaflex is a special formulation for... dogs and cats! There are 3 alternatives - liquid, capsules and powder - each one now enhanced with Hyaluronic Acid. The liquid is beef flavoured and is mixed into normal feed. The capsules are easily given to dogs - we wrap a capsule in half a slice of ham and our Doberman loves them! The powder is more concentrated and is again mixed into feed. Buy Canine/Feline Cortaflex from Cortaflex Online.

Cats... hmm... tricky. Cortaflex IS suitable for cats but they are often very fussy eaters. The best thing with a cat is to use either the liquid or the powder and only add A TINY AMOUNT to the feed to start with. Then, gradually build up to the normal dose over quite a long period of time. We suggest that feeding the capsules to cats is rather more difficult...

Human Cortaflex

There are two choices where it comes to Human Cortaflex and both are in convenient one-a-day capsule form - there are the "normal" Extra Strength Capsules and the HA Capsules. Cortaflex HA Capsules are double the strength of the normal capsules AND have much higher levels of Hyaluronic Acid. You can use the HA Capsules as a kick start for the first month or, use them long term if your joints are particularly bad. Buy Human Cortaflex from Cortaflex Online.

All Human Cortaflex Capsules are sugar, salt, gluten, gelatine and shellfish free.

Glucosamine Sulphate and Chondroitin

Cortaflex is a nutritional supplement, often called a "Nutraceutical". Simply added to feed, it provides the body with additional Chondroitin Sulphate and Glucosamine Sulphate in a readily digestible form.

These main ingredients in Cortaflex are believed to be the building blocks necessary for the body to repair damaged or worn cartilage in joints and to help maintain the quality of Synovial Fluid, the "joint oil" which lubricates the joint itself.

Indeed, a recent UK Field Trial has proven the effectiveness of Cortaflex in maintaining original stride length and mobility. Cortaflex can help maintain healthy joints and good joint mobility.

Originally formulated for horses, Cortaflex is now also available for Dogs, Cats and even Humans!
